Payment: After we receive your online shopping request or phone call, we can take your payment information by phone. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, & American Express for phone payments. We do not bill. We require payment for all items, prior to pulling them from inventory and placing them in the holding area. Any unwanted items sent back to inventory will be subject to a 15% restocking fee."

Name Nyssa sylvatica (Sour Gum, Black Gum, Black Tupelo)
Description Native to Eastern North America, this deciduous tree has dark green foliage that turns a beautiful scarlet in the fall. Small, greenish white flowers appear in the spring. Male and female flowers are usually on separate plants, although some trees do have perfect flowers, meaning male and female in the same flower. Fruit matures into a 1/2" long, dark blue oval. It is edible, but very sour, hence the common name. Very versatile tree, adapting to dry slopes, or wet lowlands.
